We welcome you to our website and hope you will look around and see what we are looking forward to in 2010.
Located in Springtown, just 20 miles north of Weatherford, Texas, we sit in the heart of cutting and reining horse country. We are just minutes from Will Rogers Coliseum which hosts the NCHA Futurity and just three short hours drive time to Oklahoma City that hosts the NRHA futurity each year and the AQHA World Show. The farm sits on 193 acres of pure coastal bermuda horse heaven, or that is what all of our girls think, that live here.
We are very lucky to have seven great stallions at our farm for 2010 to choose from including Little Bo Badger, Hollywood White, Peptos Boon Shadow(blue roan son of Peptoboonsmal), the great SR Hallmarked, Cougarand(palomino son of Peppy San Badger), Tomcat N Round(son of Highbrow Cat) and lastly our home-bred boy Bo's Hired Hand(Double bred Peppy San Badger) Just click on stallions and then on each to see their pedigrees, accomplishments and offspring.
We are a full service farm, offering semen collection, cooled semen shipped directly to off ranch mares via Fed Ex Overnight Express or counter to counter where available. We also offer tracking and artificial insemination for in house mares. We have mare foaling services from February to July. We have an inhouse vet for all of our ultrasound needs and medical needs should they occur. All in house mares with babies are housed in large 12 X 24 stalls during their stay with us. Mares that are here to be foaled out are in the same large stalls equipped with surveillance cameras and each birth is attended by professionals. We have a reputation with our mare owners of giving the best care possible.
In the summer and fall we are able to fit your colts or fillies for the up and coming sales in November and December. Usually taking them in late August and giving them at least 90 days of preparation. We escort these to the sales and ready them for the sale unless otherwise directed.
We also offer medical lay ups for horses. These are taken on a case by case basis as all have different needs.
Again we welcome you to our site and we hope you will visit our farm when you are in our area. Any questions are welcome by phone or email.
Sincerely,
Gary and Marilyn Cottar
